Old School Sports Day – The Perfect Summer Day Out

HubSpot and Matheson really brought the enthusiasm and sheer competitiveness that we love to see with them last week as their teams took part in our Old School Sports Day activities in the Railway Union Club.

Our Old School Sports Day is everything that the nostalgia brings-to-mind. We race the teams in baton relays, egg and spoon races, over obstacles and the old favourite, the sack race. We also test their teamwork skills through various tasks such as land skis, soccer trials and bean bag challenges; and of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without inflatables. Our wonderful MCs lead the day, starting off by leading a warm-up, then building tensions between the teams and encouraging participants throughout. After the activities, the group can relax over a well-deserved BBQ and a drink to celebrate the winners.

We can accommodate the Old School Sports Day to suit any sized group by incorporating a mix of different activities to suit. HubSpot made twelve teams out of their 100 participants on Thursday and battled it out for that trophy prize. Matheson brought a smaller group of 45 on Friday, allowing their six teams to go head-to-head for the team trophy while also creating room to crown the female and male sumo-wrestling champions!

It is a guaranteed day of fun for all and is a brilliant team building experience outside of the office.
