Teeling Whiskey Old School Sports Day

The Old School Sports Day and Company Olympics have proved hugely popular with corporate groups this Summer and we’ve had an absolute ball running them.  It’s great to get outside and be involved in a really high energy, fun event.  This particular Old School Sports Day and Company Olympics really was a fantastic day.  It took place at Railway Union Sports Club and the group were from Teeling Whiskey.  Right from the outset when they were doing their warm up stretched they were really full of beans and just great fun.

The Company Olympics and Old School Sports Day events take about 2 hours in total, and in that two hours we really squeeze in lots of activities.  The goal is to have all teams occupied at all times.  We do up a timetable which ensures all teams get to compete against each other and go head to head on each of the different activities we provide.  We supply an event tent where our DJ/MC and PA are based.  We play upbeat, fun music throughout the event, while the MC overseas the day, keeping energy levels up and directing people to where they should be.  The games are divided into zones and teams circulate these so that everyone gets a turn to play every game.  Each zone has a zone controller who will explain and referee the games, while keeping score to pass on to the MC for the final prize giving.

The place looked fantastic when all the games, and infrastructure are set up.  We provide a red/white striped event tent, colourful bunting and lane dividers, as well as a vibrant chill out area complete with bean bags, giant jenga, and giant connect four.  Teeling Whiskey even provided their own branded bunting for this event which really just added to the great visual.  Some of the games thy played included Sake races, egg&spoon, 3 legged, land skis, X’s O’s relay, Tug O’ War and many many more.  Huge thanks to the Teeling group for being such a pleasure to work with and such a fun, enthusiastic group.  We can’t wait to work with them again in the future!
